Giving notice
Give seven days’ notice from your dashboard once any minimum term on your plan has passed. You will see the final hire week and the return date confirmed on screen before anything is final, so there is no ambiguity about what the last invoice covers.
Before you bring it back
- Clean it — a normal wash and an empty, swept load area. It does not need valeting; it needs to be inspectable.
- Fuel it — return it with the level you collected it with; the check-out record shows exactly what that was.
- Empty it — door pockets, overhead shelf, under the seats. We find a surprising number of house keys.
The check-in walkaround
Check-in mirrors check-out: a walkaround together, photos on the tablet, mileage and fuel recorded. The record is compared against the check-out baseline and your weekly-check photos, so the conversation is about evidence, not recollection. Anything new is shown to you there and then.
The deposit, day by day
- Check-in is completed and you get the record by email.
- Any deductions are itemised with photos — repairs at fleet rates, missing fuel at pump price, capped at your excess for damage.
- The deposit, less any agreed deductions, is returned to your original payment method within ten working days. In practice it is usually faster; ten is the promise, not the target.
If you disagree with a deduction
Query the line from the itemised list before or after the refund — the photo trail is open to you either way, and the damage guide explains how pricing works.
Ending early
Before a minimum term is up, ending the hire is charged to the end of the term — the agreement states it plainly. After that, it is just the seven days.
