Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
Govantage is committed to ensuring that our website, admin dashboard, and mobile driver app are accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.
Our Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This includes:
- Perceivable: Content is presented in ways that can be perceived by all users, including alt text for images, sufficient colour contrast, and resizable text
- Operable: Navigation and interaction can be performed using keyboard, screen readers, and assistive technologies. All interactive elements have visible focus indicators.
- Understandable: Content is readable and predictable. Forms have clear labels, error messages are descriptive, and navigation is consistent.
- Robust: Content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies, including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
What We’ve Done
- Semantic HTML throughout with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA landmarks, roles, and labels on all interactive components
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, tables, dialogs, and forms
- Skip-to-content links on all pages
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
- Focus management for modals, dialogs, and dynamic content
- Touch target sizes meeting minimum 44x44px on mobile
- Responsive design from mobile to desktop
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g. payment forms via GoCardless) may not fully meet our accessibility standards
- PDF documents generated by the system may have limited screen reader compatibility
- Complex data visualisations in the admin dashboard may not be fully accessible to screen reader users, though data is available in table format
